A comprehensive program designed for first-time teen drivers. Covers classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and road test preparation — everything Michigan requires and then some.
Already have your permit? We help you build the confidence and skills to pass the Michigan road test on your first attempt. Includes a practice route that mirrors the actual exam.
Never learned to drive? It's not too late. Our patient instructors work with adults at their own pace — no judgment, no rush. From parallel parking to highway merging, we cover it all.
All Star Driver Education was founded with a simple belief: every driver deserves to learn in a safe, supportive environment. Located in the heart of Ypsilanti, we've spent over 15 years helping students of all ages get behind the wheel with confidence.
Our certified instructors don't just teach you to pass a test — they teach you to drive for life. We know the local roads, the common mistakes, and exactly what the Michigan DMV examiners are looking for. That preparation makes all the difference.
You're not a number in a group class. Every lesson is tailored to your skill level, learning pace, and specific areas where you need improvement.
We know Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and Washtenaw County roads inside out. Your practice routes are designed around the actual road test locations.
Our instructors are trained to stay calm and encouraging, even on the days when parallel parking feels impossible. That patience translates to real confidence.
No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons. We lay out exactly what your program includes so you can budget with confidence and plan ahead.
Thousands of students have passed their road tests with us. Our high first-attempt pass rate speaks for itself — and keeps parents coming back.
Easy to find on Packard Road with ample parking. We're centrally located so you can drop in or pick up without navigating traffic stress.
My daughter was terrified of driving before her first lesson. By the end of the program, she was confidently handling highway merges and parking on her own. The instructors here genuinely care about their students.
I failed my road test once and was ready to give up. All Star got me back on the road, literally and figuratively. I passed on my second try and now I drive across the state for work. Worth every minute.
As a 42-year-old who never learned to drive, I was nervous about starting over. The team at All Star made me feel completely comfortable. No jokes, no pressure — just solid instruction that actually worked.
